Pursuit of Happyness
We watched Pursuit of Happyness last night. Spell check hates the name but it was actually a pretty good movie. I am a sucker for movies about pursuing and achieving dreams (Another movie I dig) so I have been wanting to see it for a while.
Here's where things went wrong... The DVD "froze" at one hour and forty-four minutes into the film! No matter what I tried I couldn't go past that point on the disc. No matter what I tried I couldn't get past the "worst" point in the main charactors life to the obligatory "Happy ending". We finally went to the end of the disc and were able to rewind back to 1:44 and see the end of the movie. I was willing to try about anything to see the ending, because if we would have stopped at that point it would have been the most depressing movie I have ever watched.
The whole thing reminded me of points in our families life when we were SURE God had a "happy ending" for us, but we seemed to be "frozen" at the worst part of the struggle. It reminded me to keep trying until you get to the "end"- It's worth it!
